Replace a cache drive - wiki

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the procedure for changing two cache SSDs for larger capacity ones?

I've tried the wiki and it's been deleted image.thumb.png.83b499d02f4a170c71e21f9134bbe0dc.png

Version: 6.10.3

I think the GUI upgrade was a little broken in previous OS versions but i'm not sure if that is still the case or not and i'm not sure if i just need to flush the cache to disk and replace.

Though before starting you should free up some space, dangerous to run a COW filesystem so full.

I've ran mover and it's down a little - is it enough?

That's enough if there's some unallocated space, if you want I can check if you post the diagnostics or just the output of:

btrfs fi usage -T /mnt/cache

There's some unallocated space and it should be enough.

Thanks, JorgeB.  I'll get some larger SSDs ordered.

Hey JorgeB, just wanted to thank you for your assistance.  I managed to replace the cache drives successfully a little while ago.
