June 23, 20224 yr Hey guys, maybe my setup is not that uncommon, given how widespread LSI HBAs are while Chenbro enclosures can be picked up cheap. So, I am using two LSI 9220-8i (both in IT mode, of course) in a 16-bay Chenbro RM-41616. It is a minor detail but I am missing the second card's drive activity LEDs on the front (drives 9 to 16). I know that the LEDs do work because prior to the dual 9220, I was using one 9220 in IT mode with a IBM 46M0997 16port SAS Expander. Here, all drive activity LEDs were working. Sadly the SAS expander cause read I/O errors, so I switched it for a second 9220. Does anyone have a similar setup and encountered the same problem and found a solution? Also, sort of off-topic but would a more modern, PCIe 3 16-port HBA give any performance benefits? If so, any recommendations on one? Cheers and thanks, Alex Edited June 23, 20224 yr by LXZ1982
