Unraid 6.9.2 parity check errors

Featured Replies

Hello,

For a few months now I have consistently had parity check errors, I think the numbers have been about the same ~1500 errors. I've read some posts and tried a couple of parity checks read only and then write corrected. Same results.

Yes I have had the occasional unclean shutdown from power loss. Maybe twice in the last year.

See attached my diagnostics. Last parity check finished at 02.12am on 25 June.

I appreciate your expert opinions! Thanks in advance.

Start by running memtest, also a good idea to replace that old JMB controller, it's causing ATA errors on both connected devices.

Thank you JorgeB.

6 iterations of memtest completed ok.

I replaced the sata controller with one on your recommended list.

Parity check returned 55 errors. Diagnostic attached. Parity check finished at Wed 06 Jul 2022 07:43:07 AM local time

Any further ideas?

Run another parity check without rebooting and post new diags if sync errors are found.
