newest unreleased version of unraid supports the card fully (version was only released to testers)

 

so guess we will have soon a 5.07 which supports the card

Just as a future-proof warning... it seems this controller will not support 3TB drives.  But, if someone can tell me otherwise, I'm in for one!

Highly recommend this vendor for the BR10i and would also suggest you request a bracket when ordering.

When you pay by paypal there is a notes field. Or you could even send the seller an email through the ebay message system.

so now i am waiting for the thing to arrive at my friends home ...

I must have missed the "notes" section on the pay-pal side.  I just sent the seller an email.  There has been no confirmation that they got my request for the 2 full size brackets as of yet.....  We will see if I get the brackets.  So far they seem to be very fast in the processing and shipping of the 2 that I bought. 

I used the unraid 4.7 version right now and I am wondering if this card is fully compatible. Did one of you have one in use in your server, with version of unraid? I will get one if this card is fully compatible.

this card is NOT compatible in 4.7

it is bearly compatible in 5.06B... with this i mean ... it works fine in 5.06b as the driver is in the kernel... but there is no temp info or spin down for the moment

this is being solved and tested for the moment in a limited release send to a few members ...

hopefully this new release will get out soon

My cards arried today....  Both with brackets.   I will hopefully get to testing these next weekend.

The card works perfectly in the latest SAS/SCSI test version (5.06d).

 

It also works well enough in 5.06b with workarounds -- manually configure spindown per drive using hdparm, and reading temps using smartctl.

I got one too! Got it real fast. It was packed real good, and came with bracket attached.

 

Are there any bios settings I should be aware of? If I hit control-c during the initializing screen the computer resets. I thought I read something about not getting into the card setup on a different card but could not find the post.
