Unable to login via server GUI. 'Failed to execute login command' after putting in root username/password

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I am currently running 6.9.2. I have never used the server GUI before and only accessed the server via the WebGUI.

I have enabled GUI boot and get a login prompt but when putting in my root user and password (same root used for webgui) I get a message saying that "Failed to Execute Login Command".

Based on one previous thread people suggested check my USB and that has been done with no errors.

I have attempted to reset the password for root again with the same result.

I am able to login with root to SSH and WebGUI.

The only thing 'unusual' about this setup is that I have an Nvidia card on my system and I am seeing and attempting to login while connected to the nvidia card.

Is there anything I can do to login via the GUI?

Thanks
