One of the disk never spin down

Featured Replies

I am new to unraid and since I upgrade to 6.10.3 I found one of the disk and parity disk never spin down.

I have checked that the setting of disk's spin down delay is default and even the disk was spin down manually, it will spin up in few seconds while the File Activity logs no access to file in this disk but only cache.

I have set appdata, system, domains, isos all to cache:prefer.

Actually, your isos share is cache:yes, which means move to array, and it has files on the array. That is fine as long as your VMs don't have any isos mounted after using them for install. I'll let you work that out whether you want them moved to the array or moved to cache.

system share still has files on the array.

Nothing can move open files. Disable Docker and VM Manager in Settings, run Mover. You can check how much of each disk is used be each user share by clicking Compute... for the share on the User Shares page.

Thanks for your reply.

But the questions seems to be solved after I changed the language to English(it was Chinese).
