May 28, 201115 yr Hi I have set up a new unraid system with 3 drives 2x 2tb and one 1.5 on a board that ran another system with no issues. When I set up the new flash drive do make bootable when I boot up the system I only get (could not find kernel image:linux) tried 4.7 and the latest beta 5.6a. is this caused by the makeboot not completing or would it be possible in the bios set up for booting is not correct tried diffrent mem sticks with same results? Thanks Lou using M2N-E mother board had to update the bios now recognize the usb drives. Lou
May 28, 201115 yr This sounds similar to an issue a friend had where his system would not correctly boot (only partially so). The solution was that not all of the files were in the correct folders. He had unzipped the unRAID installation file with all files going in the root folder rather than preserving the folder structure in the zip file. It could also be the installation process not completing, but I presume you'd see that it had failed in some way...? Since you are getting a meaningful message I think it unlikely to be due to the boot options on the motherboard.
