Slow Parity Sync

Featured Replies

I was getting drive errors. So I replaced the bad drive, but I'm still getting extremely slow parity sync speeds (around 1mb/sec). I can't figure out why it's so slow.

How do you know the drive was bad? Bad connections are much more common than bad drives.

It was getting tens of thousands of errors in the Error column on the Main page.

Two controllers have (or are connected to) SATA port multipliers, that's very bad for performance and reliability, lots of ATA errors on the log.
