I recently got a usb stick to download Unraid on but apparently 3.x usb drives are unrecognizable to my old motherboard bios. is there anyway I can install Unraid onto this computer through windows without the need of a usb stick?

No.

Unraid is specifically designed to load into RAM from the USB stick on every boot and subsequently run from RAM and use the USB stick for its licence and storing settings.

USB 2.0 is often recommended for unRAID USB drive anyway as USB 3.x often has random disconnect issues on some BIOS/motherboards. USB 2 is more reliable.
