Drives on second controller not showing up

Featured Replies

Today I added a new SSD for additional cache to my system and it was not showing up in unassigned devices, its visible in BIOS so I know the controller can see it.

Motherboard: P6X58D PREMIUM

It has two SATA controllers:

1 - Intel ICH10R - 6x SATA2

2 - Marvell 88SE9123 - 2x SATA3

Until today I had all drives on the intel controller but its full, new SSD is plugged into the Marvell controller.

Not sure what's going on here, would love some assistance.

I have attached diag and syslog files.

Thanks!

Marvell controllers are hit and miss on Linux.  Sometimes they work, and other times they don't.  My only recommendation would be to try updating to Unraid 6.10.

Thanks for your input,

I guess I'll just have to finally order an HBA and avoid the Marvell controller.

Thanks!

From your Motherboard manual.  Check your BIOS setting for that controller:
