6.9.2 - Build Physically Relocated -> No longer connecting to Internet?

Featured Replies

Running Unraid 6.9.2

Physically relocated houses and have finally had time to focus on my unraid build. Boots up fine / using GUI with an attached screen I was able to run full parity and passed with 0 corrections.

I have removed the /config/network.cfg file (only booted to set static IPV4). Disabled VMs. Disabled Docker for the time being. I have tested the cable / changed it out with other machines. It shows on my local network but am unable to connect. It is not showing very little network activity. Docker is showing out of date and not able to check for updates / build itself is showing no new unraid builds to upgrade to. Not sure what is going on. Any ideas?

Really Appreciate the help!!

Link / Carrier always down, you must fix this first.

Jul 26 21:46:32 Fractal dhcpcd[1916]: br0: carrier lost

And I don't think static gateway in IP "192.168.86.0" is correct, although it shouldn't affect local network access.

You are definitely right on that gateway.. reset to 10.0.0.1 and cut off static at 10.0.0.131. Now need to dig deeper into that link/carrier issue

I attempted a USB network solution via an adapter but still would not connect. Was trying to better understand if I bought a nic if anything would change. Attempted to see the ifconfig and shows the Ethernet on eth0 with micro activity at the byte level… probably nothing going on. Tried a simple on command but no luck so far. Seeing a lot of forums of flavors of Linux but not sure what changed - guess will dig in bios?

Update. I ended up swapping many ethernet cables / switch / etc locally. I was able to get my unraid GUI to boot and was testing on terminal and could not get a ping from google.com but was able to from 8.8.8.8 - so was driven by a DNS error and probably some subcomponent of hardware upstream and DNS. Thanks!

Settings  >>>   Network Settings      Then try to set up DNS servers as shown below:
