trurl Posted July 30, 2022 Share Posted July 30, 2022 Probably just some confusion on how to work with Unassigned Devices. Posting to its support thread with screenshots and diagnostics might have sorted it. preclear on SSDs is never recommended Unraid never requires a clear disk unless adding it to a new data slot in an array that already has valid parity. This is so parity will remain valid. If a disk isn't precleared Unraid will clear it when required, and it is only required in this one scenario. Quote Link to comment
