MB / CPU issue?

Featured Replies

My current system isn't booting back up after I powered it down.

Tested so far:

This PS in another setup and that worked fine.

Took the PS out of the other system and no luck on the below system.

No smell, no lights, no power, etc

Any way to tell if it is the MB or CPU that is bad? I don't have a matching MB or CPU to test in the below setup.

If you have no light at all, I'd say it's probably the MB.

A failed CPU would probably have the MB start, get some lights ON, then fail booting.

Well a CMOS battery & jumper reset seemed to resolve the issue.
