Hardware transcoding issue - renderD128

Dear all,

 

I try to configure hardware transcoding for my Plex Server by following this topic:
 

 

but I'm stuck with the command 

 

cd /dev/dri
ls

 

it shows me only card0, I can't see renderD128, even if I try modprobe i915

 

any idea why ?

Cannot see the igpu in the lspci, have you enabled in the bios?

Looking at the manual for your motherboard i think it should be cpu.

Primary Display [Auto]
Allows you to select which of CPU Graphics / PEG Graphics / PCIE Graphics device 
should be Primary Display.
Configuration options: [Auto] [CPU Graphics] [PCI] [HG]

Do you have a monitor connected to the igpu? or a dummy plug?

Hi @SimonF,

 

I tried to change some setting in my BIOS, but even after saving, it turns back to "Auto".

 

I also tried to but a monitor in HDMI, but nothing on screen

 

any other idea ?
