CrypticPoptart
I'm aware this is a tired topic, but I've been searching for two weeks to find a solution just to come up empty. As part of moving my files (14TB) from my old windows server two my new(ish) unraid one, I put in a 5TB cache disk. Now that's its time to move the 5TB to the normal array, I'm getting stuck. There's ~90GB of files on there that I can't seem to get moved. I have disabled the docker, VM manager, set the shares to "yes", rebooted, everything that Mr. Google has reccomended, but the 90GB won't flush so I can remove the drive. I've attached my diagnostics below, I'm at a loss. Any help is appreciated servertwo-diagnostics-20220813-0110.zip Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Have you checked that there really are files there - if so which ones might give a clue. Asking because the used space will never go to zero as you get something like 1-2% of the space used the moment you format a drive to create an empty files system. Quote Link to comment
CrypticPoptart
After checking, there are files on the cache I want to keep. Is there even just a way I can extract those files and force them onto the array? That way I can re-make the pool without losing anything Edited August 13, 2022 by CrypticPoptart Readability Quote Link to comment
Solution CrypticPoptart Posted August 14, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted August 14, 2022 Finally figured it out, after I updated my server (and solved the problems that caused) I used Dynamix File Manager and just ripped the files off the cache then dumped them onto the array. It's not the best solution, but little issues like docker.img being lost are manageable. Quote Link to comment
