Cache Pool SSD mistake made

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am running Unraid 6.10.3.

I had a single 800gb ssd as my cache drive which stored my VM's.

I added another 2tb ssd and added as a 2nd drive in my pool. So i ended up having a pool of 2 devices.

That was the mistake. I wanted to create a 2nd pool in order to have both my ssd's to be separate pools.

Now there is a btrfs operation running and i cannot stop the array to fix my mistake.

How should i proceed so that i dont lose the data on my original pool cache ssd?

Since both ssd's in the single pool right now are of different size what type of RAID is setup automatically?

Wait for the btrfs operation to stop, then stop array, unassign the 2Tb device (leave it unassigned for now), start array, wait for btrs balance to finish once more, after that is done you can stop the array and create a new pool.
