June 9, 201115 yr Hi guys, I have a Cache drive in my unraid box. When installing applications such as Transmission, and Sabnzbd - do you install them to the Flash and set the files to download to the cache drive, or do you actually install them to the cache drive? If you install them to the cache drive, how do you do this please? many thanks, Thomas.

The unMenu package there has a variable that needs to be changed so that the actual application is not installed to the flash drive. As for SAB and the like, I do not know for sure, but there are many a thread on those applications also. They all explain what you need to do to get SAB running from the cache drive. The short answer is you need to install the apps into a folder the is at the root of the cache drive and starts with a period (i.e. ".").

August 1, 201114 yr i just tried to install my apps like so to cache/apps/sabnzbd ... the cache drive randomly moved/copied this folder to the parity and data disk 1 and i lost everything. whys this? solutions?
August 2, 201114 yr I believe your directory on the cache drive needs to start with a "." Anything within that directory should be excluded from the mover script. ie /cache/.apps/sabnzbd
