June 9, 201115 yr Looking at 5 beta7 and starting to support larger hard drives. Is there a page that gives the commands you need to run to preclear and setup a >2TB hard drive with Unraid? Is it different to setup GPT compared to MBR? I'm still learning Linux commands and Unraid.

June 9, 201115 yr Is there a page that gives the commands you need to run to preclear... Several of us, including myself, have precleared 3TB drives without any issues whatsoever. This is assuming you're using the latest version of preclear, 1.9 I believe.

June 9, 201115 yr Preclear creates an MBR not a GPT (unless JoeL has done something new). The MBR created on a 3T drive is flawed. I am not convinced that a MBR precleared 3T drive will add to an array without triggering an unRaid zeroing the disk operation, but maybe Tom special cased it. Will have to test it.
