I just upgraded to 5.0 beta 7 and have a few questions on AFP

 

Do I just click on the disk to enable AFP after I installed AFP under settings?

What do the different security options do, public, secure and private?

If I use AFP should I turn off SMB?

Do I have to do anything special for TM support beside picking that from the export settings?

On disk or on share.

Click on the blue title "AFP Security Settings" for information.

If I use AFP should I turn off SMB?

Up to you.

Do I have to do anything special for TM support beside picking that from the export settings?

Select "Yes (TimeMachine)" only.

Not sure if its a bug or me not doing something right.  I am using AFP and it seems to be working fine, however SMB is also showing up, how do I only get AFP to show up in Finder on the Mac?

 

Try adding these lines to your go file:

avahi-daemon -k
rm /etc/avahi/services/samba.service
avahi-daemon -D
