[SOLVED] Permissions issue (I Think)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a problem now accessing some backups of my files:

Here is my syslog if it is required:

http://pastesite.com/24104

After upgrading from 4.7 to 5.0 b7

2 Folders on Disk3, and 1 folder on Disk4 I can not gain access to on windows via smb despite security being set to public and export being on.

I can navigate to them but as soon I try to go in to the folder to access the files I am hit with a windows permissions prompt.

If I turn off smb, and only use AFP on a mac I can get in to the folder, but no files are showing.

when I browse to the files on the unraid web interface I can navigate the files and download them fine.

I've been trying for a few days now and am not getting anywhere with this, if anybody can help I'd be very grateful.

Thanks, Thomas.

ran the "1 time" permissions button for the 3rd time and bingo all seems fine now.

Not sure why it wasn't completing the other times but I guess it is sorted now.

I had the exact same situation with the same upgrade from 4.7 to 5.0b7; couldn't access folders on my media streamer or PC until I ran New Permissions 3 times.
