Unable to connect to server via webui or samba

Featured Replies

I'm getting a generic error of "Invalid username or password."

I've tried recreating the account, but nothing seems to work.

I can still access the webui via root, but no matter what I do no other accounts are working for the webui or samba. No error is triggering in the server logs for a failed samba login, but I do see an error for a failed webui. I can login as root, set the passwd via CL, and fail to login via a different browser.

I am at a complete loss of what is causing the issue as it's been working fine for months, but all of a sudden today I cannot access server shares via my windows machine and cannot login to the webui using any account that's not root.

Any suggestions?

Only root has access to the webUI and command line. Other users are strictly for network access to files, and root should not be used to access files over the network.

Maybe that information will help narrow down what you should be trying to do.

Where are you seeing that?
