June 12, 201115 yr I had unRAID accessing perfectly fine every time I boot up my server until I tried to use another USB pen drive (as I am buying 2 pro licenses). Ever since I replugged back in my original USB, unRAID won't log on through the internet browser. I tried reading the help, but can't figure it out. What do I need to do to be able to be able to continue being able to log in at //tower?
June 13, 201115 yr Author It loads fine on the unRAID and takes me to the log-in prompt.... I am trying to log-in through the browser so I can run the system headless.
June 13, 201115 yr logon using the console and run ifconfig (might need a sudo infront of it) and it will give you the network info. ie, checking that the network is connected ok and that it has an IP address. If that checks out, try using the IP address to connect, not the 'name' of the server.
June 13, 201115 yr Some versions of unRAID stored the MAC address in the config/network.cfg file. This might result in more than one of your PCs on the LAN to attempt to respond the the same IP packets. Usually this occurred if the flash drive was set up on your main PC and then migrated to different hardware. If there is a HWADDR=XXXXXXXXX line in your config/network.cfg file, delete it. Joe L.
June 16, 201115 yr Author I deleted that line Joe and it didn't seem to help If i attach my monitor to the unRAID system and log in, I can retrieve the following addresses: HWaddr Inet Addr Bcast Mask I tried all of them and it didn't seem to work. When it was previously working, I think I may have told it to have a static IP address and ever since then, it hasn't worked. Anyway to reset that? I'm only guessing thats the problem unless you guys have any other ideas. Thanks.
