Can't Unmount

Featured Replies

I have been running 5-0 beta6 for some weeks now with no problems, however I wanted to add a cache drive.

On stopping the array, I have found that the drives will not unmount and UnRaid endlessly retrys. The only way to powerdown the server is to type POWERDOWN at console. I have updated to 5-0 beta7 but have the same problem

On another issue I have found that my cache drive has been formatted using HPA because it had been used with a Gigabyte motherboard. Should and how do I remove HPA, or can I leave the drive as it is with no harm?

Attached is my syslog

Drives will not un-mount if they are busy.  This is to protect your data.   It is not a bug, it is a "feature". There are many threads describing how to kill/terminate processes keeping them busy.    do a search on "fuser" to find them.

The HPA on the cache drive will not matter, other than making it a tiny bit smaller.
