September 12, 20223 yr Hello! I'm spinning up a new server using the ASROCK X570S PG Riptide and the on-board NIC doesn't want to get an IP. I get an IP off of the APIPA block (169.254.203.141). I have 1 Gbps link to the switch and I have link lights on back of the computer. LSPCI says it's a "Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Killer E3000 2.5GbE Controller (rev 06)" Can I add a driver for this NIC? If so, is there a walk-through for it? I've been unable to find anything. If not, I'll make other arrangements. Thanks! -Brendan

September 12, 20223 yr Community Expert The driver is there and loaded, though Linux in tree drives are kind of hit and miss with Realtek NICs, especially 2.5GbE models.
September 14, 20223 yr Author Solution Thanks for assisting -- I discovered that the Cisco Catalyst switch I use for my network here in the house did not have spanning-tree portfast enabled on that port, and it took a bit longer than unraid was expecting to get an IP. I'm up and running. Thank you both for looking into it with me.
