GPU passthrough not working on Unraid VM (GeForce GT 220)

Featured Replies

Hello. I am trying to set up a VM. My specs are:

CPU: i5-6400

MOBO: MSI b150m Night Elf

16gb RAM

GPU: GT 220

This is a test to see if the virtual machine displays and output. If it does, I plan to add another GPU.

I have enabled HVM and IOMMU on bios. I have check marked the GPU IOMMU groups in Tools> System Devices.

I have set graphics driver on bios from PGD (Discrete GPU) to IGD (Integrated GPU).

The Unraid console runs on the motherboard output just fine, but when I connect another monitor to the GPU, it doesn't output anything, just a black screen.

Is the problem occurring because the GPU is old, I saw on the Unraid documentation that GPU passthrough work best with 600 series or newer GPU. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Better to add the second GPU now, any troubleshooting will likely have to be redone anyway.
