Cache shows up as Disabled/Emulated.

Featured Replies

So here we go. Again.

I have no clue why it does it now or why it shows this kind of behavior but I restarted my server and now my Cache shows up as "Devices disabled, Contents emulated". I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be like that and also, beofre the restart, it wasn't like that.

So does anyone have an idea what causes this?

Okay, that was scary but it worked: I selected my cache drives and unassigned them, then proceeded to delete my cache and then re-added a pool named cache. Added the drives back, then they showed up as "new" which gave me a heart attack but after starting the array, it all worked as before and without issues.

I don't what happend but that was one scary moment.
