Teshiburu
Hey all, Am I being blind or stupid somewhere here: in the documentation for storage management and pool modes it points to a calculator for btrfs raids. https://carfax.org.uk/btrfs-usage/?c=2&slo=1&shi=1&p=0&dg=1&d=2000&d=2000&d=2000 and it shows that i should be able to get 3tb of usable space out of 3 x 2tb drives? However, when i assign these 3 drives to the pool: It displays total size of 3tb but only 2tb usable? Am I missing something? did I hit my head when I woke up this morning haha! Teshiburu
Playing around it seems to be giving me raid1c3 which according to the calculator should only give 2tb of usable space, whereas raid1 SHOULd give me 3tb but im only seeing 2.... Kinda need the 3tb can anyone advise? Quote Link to comment
Solution ChatNoir Posted September 25, 2022 Solution Share Posted September 25, 2022 This is a known bug of BTRFS RAID when using an odd number of devices. You can use the space but the reported free space is inaccurate. Quote Link to comment
