Errors during Preclear of new disk

Featured Replies

I had a drive failure and installed a new 10 TB SAS3 drive. Currently preclearing which seems to be going smoothly (Currently Zeroing: 19% @ 487 MB/s), but the Unraid log is showing errors constantly.

Getting

I/O error, dev sdi, sector ********** op 0x1:(WRITE) flags 0x104000 phys_seg 128 prio class 0

and

Buffer I/O error on dev sdi, logical block XXXXXXXXX, lost async page write

Is this a bad / failing disk? Something else?

Thank you

I think you're right. When I shut down Unraid and try to add the drive to the array, it won't take and sends it back to Unassigned Devices grayed out. Then it won't show in the dropdown to add to Array.
