Trying to set up 2 NIC's with different subnets

Featured Replies

I am having some trouble getting my dockers to run on a duel NIC setup. My goal is to get home assistant running on a subnet that I have set up for IOT devices. unraid is on my main network 10.0.0.0/24 my iot devices are on 10.0.1.0/24. Unraid has a duel nic on the motherboard as well as my workstation with both connected to each network. I have a Unifi setup with the dream machine pro. The only information that I have been able to find say to just set each card to it's own network. whenever I assign a docker to the 10.0.1.0/24 network I am unable to launch the GUI and am also unable to ping the IP address. I have tried isolating my machines to just that network, bridged mode in network setings, ip an mac configs in docker settings, I have tried subnetting the 10.0.0.0 in 2 subnets 10.0.0.0/25, I also tried installing a pcie network card thinking it might be a motherboard issue. Where I am at now my 2 motherboard NIC's are bonded on 802.3ad on the 10.0.0.0/24 network and I have never had an issue with dockers running on this network. I left the PCIE nic installed and on the 10.0.1.0/24 and still unable to get a docker GUI to launch from my workstation or the unraid server itself or ping the server or a docker container from my workstation. as far as my IOT devices they are connected to the 10.0.1.0/24 network in my home and work fine. I have included my sys log as far as i can tell  I don't see any issues. If anyone can offer me some advice or point me to where I can find an answer I would very much be thankful.

I have a bit of an update, I have done quite a few things and where I am at now is I am now using pihole and that has fixed some problems since I do not have a local dns. my 2 inic's are still bonded on the 10.0.0.24 and the pcie nic when put on 10.0.1.24 is isolated from the network for some reason. It can not ping out nor can I ping to it. I have white listed both server IP's on piehole and unifi. my 10.0.1.0\24 works fine for other devices. When I ping to 10.0.1.24 from my workstation I get host unreachable from 10.0.0.1. I am not sure if this is normal for unifi but both gateways work 10.0.0.1/10.0.1.1. and I can ping other devices on the 10.0.1.0/24. I aso know that the nic is good I changed 10.0.1.24 to 10.0.0.25 and it works fine. The strangest part is I can access and log into unraid from both 10.0.0.24 and 10.0.1.24 even though I can not ping it. I thought is was a gateway mistyped but everything looks fine. As I finished typing this I noticed on my unifi controller that the ip for the pcie nick is changing on its own from 10.0.1.24 to 10.0.0.24 so a configurtion issue on unraid somewhere? I have included the lasest diagnostics file
