Parity Errors

Featured Replies

I recently had a power cut and parity rebuild started (Write corrections enabled) after completing it states there is 4 errors, what's the best way to verify or check what the errors are?

I have recently switched from a Marvel controller to a flashed Dell Perc H310 due to disks always disconnecting but never had a parity issue?

There's really no way, parity was out of sync, now it's in sync, unless you were writing data to the array at the time the power failed everything should fine, and with just 4 sync errors it could not be writing much.

Would you run another parity and see what the output is?

Cheers for the advise

You can, but it should be 0, unless you typically get sync errors, if you don't I would just wait for the next scheduled check, assuming you do them regularly, like once a month.

Yes its scheduled for once a week, not sure if this is to much?

No its the first time i have seen a sync error

We usually recommend once a month, it's enough.

I will get it changed, thanks for the help :)
