October 1, 20223 yr I'll try to be short, I have all new hardware to rebuild my array so I'm trying to plan out how to do all of this and wanted your thoughts and opinions. Option 1: Stand up entirely new array and copy everything from the old server over to the new server. Option 2: Replace disks one at a time (total of 6). Right now my disks are fairly well balanced but being that this was my first build there are obviously some things I think could have been planned better considering the knowledge and understanding that I have now of Unraid. Example, I think for my media files I should have used the "least full" allocation method instead of high water. While I can't recall ever having performance issues due to reads becoming an issue I do like the idea of having data spread out a little so that the brunt of the reads are not coming from one disk at a time. Your thoughts and opinions are well appreciated. Edited October 1, 20223 yr by Carbur8tr Grammer.
