Out of memory errors detected on your server-help!

Featured Replies

Hello,

About every 1-2 weeks I get an out of memory error.  I fix it by rebooting the system. Attached are my logs after the error was detected and before I rebooted. Thank you in advance for helping!felsunraid-diagnostics-20221002-0655.zip

Just to add, I am currently running 6.11, but this also was occuring with 6.10 . I do see a this memory error list in the syslog , but I do not understand what it is telling me.

Any tips to get my pointed in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well your server only has 24gb of memory installed and your running a Windows VM, which looks like its configured to only use 4gb of memory, so you "should" be fine.  But something is using up your memory.  You'll have to run top from terminal and watch it and see what is using alot of memory.  On my server, qbittorrent alone uses about 4gb, so some of your docker containers might be using alot of memory.

Additionally, I see you have nerdpack installed, which, unrelated to this problem, is not an approved plugin under 6.11 anymore...  FYSA.

Thank you so much! The Windows VM is there but is not running. I previously had Nerdpack but I removed it a while back when I saw that it was going to be supported anymore. Perhaps the uninstall was not complete?

I'll have to check out top. The memory use graph on the dashboard always sits ~40% - maybe that isn;t accurate?
