Before I purchase a Basic license, I'm trying to plan the storage in my head.

On the purchase page, footnote 1 reads

Attached storage devices refer to the total number of storage devices you are allowed to have attached to the server before starting the array, not counting the USB Flash boot device. There are no other limitations in the software based on license type.

 

My question is: does the cache-ssd count as "Storage", or can I have six storage drives AND a boot-disk AND a cache-ssd?

    All attached drives (excluding optical media and the boot flash drive) count towards the counts on a license.  You will need a Plus license
