NerdTools Has Warning From Fix Common Problems!

Featured Replies

Hello!

In the wake of NerdPack not working, there was a post about a successor called NerdTools. However once I installed it, and installed a few packaged within the plugin, I noticed this warning in Fix Common Problems:

Quote

"Extra packages being installed were found in /boot/extra. It is not recommended to install any packages this way."

Upon inspection, it looks like NerdTools is putting the packages I installed into this folder. Please advise on what to do. Thank you!

With the fact that the NerdPack plugin is now deprecated then the warning from FCP probably needs updating so that it only issues the warning if the packages are not from Nerd Tools plugin.

So, in other words, as long as the packages are from the NerdTools Plugin, I can ignore the warning?
