after upgrade it won't start. i can see it stops at startup selection

Do you mean it stops at the Unraid boot menu?

yes
if i try to select one of the voices, it will again return to the countdown but nothing happens

That suggests a problem with the installation, try recreating the flash drive, backup current /config folder first then restore it.
