Hi,

 

Bit of a random one that I've not been able to figure out, I keep getting notifications of my SSD heating up recently, however I'm not sure what's hitting it at that level to make it get so hot.

 

I've checked all the logs I can find, there doesn't seem to be any particular triggers or scheduled events that are happening to heat it up.

 

I've attached my diagnostics file as well.

This is a known issue with that particular model of SSD where you can get spurious readings of exactly 84C.   It is believed to be a firmware issue, but no fix has bern forthcoming from Samsung.

Thanks for your responses, I did stumble across a couple of reports of this happening but wanted to be sure it was the same thing!

 

I've applied the suggest fix from the thread that JorgeB linked, so we'll see how it goes.
