October 12, 20223 yr So I'm a bit stuck on this one what did I do wrong? So I have done the following: 1) Set up the Brand New Server and logged in as root. 2) Set up the shares for media location, left as public, which will be switched later to users. 3) Added a few folders and checked I can get access from the laptop to the server on the same network (all hard-wired). 4) Added the Plex official Docker app. 5) Double-checked my old plex account and updated it. 6) Retrieved the Claim ticket and finished the App setup with the 3 folder locations. 7) logged out of plex. Booted up the WebUI from the Docker, then prompted to log into the same Plex account again... logs in, and instead of seeing the server setup, etc... I see: "Not authorized You do not have access to this server" I have tried to google it and found a few pages that suggest resetting windows/Linux/Mac, but nothing specific with UNRAID, its also been rebooted, etc. I can get in if I use http://itsacloud.local:32400/web/index.html#!/ but that only gets me to the app and if I click on the library it suggests I can get plex server, so clearly this is just my logon going through the unraid server, and its as if I logged into www.plex.tv/en-gb/?langr=1 . (This is already on reddit (Unraid and Plex) by me too, but figured it maybe easier to ask here too.
October 12, 20223 yr You did not try to log into the array (SMB, particularly) as root did you? root is not allowed as an SMB user.
October 26, 20223 yr Author Apologies for the late reply, I had 2 accounts and no matter what I did the UNRAID server tried to log in as the old account, I hadnt even been on the account in years and it tried to associate it, so I deleted the whole account and it worked fine.
