Rajahal
Looks like a nice, compact server. Why are you selling it? Quote Link to comment
Johnm
I have this exact same setup with 4 GB ram, 4x 3TB Hitachi drives (9TB usable) and a 7200rpm 320GB laptop cache drive. Rock solid setup and very low energy usage. You can cheaply add an Esata port for about $3. For big spenders, an SSD will fit perfectly in the cache drive spot. Quote Link to comment
bnevets27
Looks like a nice, compact server. Why are you selling it? Basically built it as little project/challenge based on the idea of a fully functional unraid server yet portable and low energy usage. I was curious if I could piece together a unraid server that could be used as a very large portable hard drive. Something that would be good to say bring to a cottage or in a RV, so you could bring a large media collection with you. I was also hoping that I could find someone that would be interested in unraid, xbmc, media center related things and setup a complete solution for them. I figured this was a good build also for if/when I found some interested I could easily show a complete system hooked up at their house. This server and a ion zbox running xbmc. Everything is energy efficient yet powerfully, easy to use, reliable and takes up little space. So I built it, tested it, boxed it up, project/challenge completed. Now its just looking for a good home. Quote Link to comment
