Walki
Hallo everybody, I want to switch over to Unraid from TrueNAS to NAS and virtualize my SmartHome in addition to some other stuff as well. I have the following constellation of devices: 2x HDD 4TB 1x HDD 2TB 1X HDD 1TB 1x HDD 500GB 1x SSD 240GB 1x SSD 128GB 1x SSD 120GB 1x SSD 64GB Furthermore is there a plan to buy a 4TB device. I want to migrate the HDD as NAS. Everyone is a single zfs-pool. Now I lerned the Parity disk must be the one with the greatest size. Is it possible to use a disk with a zfs-pool as a parity disk? Has anyone an idea how to transfer the data from a zfs-pool save to a btrfs-device? To say it clear: I do not want to use ZFS anymore. The SSD‘s should be reserved for VM‘s and Docker. Ohne of it should also be used for the NAS. Whitch constellation makes sense? To create a Pool of it? With a pool I am scary not to replace a disk if it gets faulty. Thanks a lot for your ideas and suggestions. Quote Link to comment
