bro is missing all together and my windows 10 vm fails to see unraid shares under network in explorer

Have you got bridging enabled under Settings->Network?

yes its enabled, here diagnostics

i found the place where i was looking to see if bridging was enabled

i disabled bridging then re enabled it, seemed to fix it
