Can't find my Unraid server anymore

Featured Replies

Hi

I decided to move over from a BT HomeHub router to the Apple Airport Extreme Base Station so I can utilise the dual band capabilities and other things. Doing this and actually configuring it to work was problematic but I'm now online. Phew I thought. However, if I type the ip address that was assigned for my unraid server into a browser or try and connect to it (via finder) in any way, I can't find it.

I think the IP address must have been changed and have spent the last 3 or so hours reading posts to see what's wrong and tried various things but to no avail. Could someone help?

I have a full mac home and no PCs.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

The problem would be extremely likely after changing DHCP servers, or if your unRAID was using static and the new router changed the network space.

Log into the console and type ifconfig eth0. That'll show you its current IP address. If it's in a different range (i.e. 192.168.1.0 vs. your router & Mac in 10.0.10.0) then you'll have to change unRAID or the others to match.
