October 23, 20223 yr Hello, I have a bit of a dilemma I could use help with. I been using Unraid for probably 7/8 years. For the past two years my server was down and I haven't used it. Since the server was old I decided to build a new one. I finished the build today and plugged in my Unraid flash drive. I could see it boot up, but when i would type in my ip to enter the web gui i couldn't access the server. I couldn't ping it either. I found the problem was the the the dual 2.5gb intel i225 nic on my new EVGA Z690 Classified mobo was too new for the old version of Unraid I was using. I tried to access Unraid.net hoping there was a way i could just start fresh. I decided to download a new Unraid trial and installed the latest build 6.11.1 on a new flash drive. I installed 6.11.1 to my new build. This worked and i could access the new Unraid GUi, which proves my thought was correct the new intel nic on the mobo was too new for the older version of Unraid from probably two years ago. I decided i would like to just start fresh this will give me a recap since i haven't used Unraid for a couple years. If possible i would like help with two things. 1. I cannot remember my password for Unraid.net I do not see an option to reset password. 2. I paid $89 for the 12 HDD Unraid OS. Since I couldn't access my old OS and decided to download the trial and start fresh, I was hoping I could transfer my registration key to the trial. How do I get my registration key since I cannot access Unraid.net nor my old Un raid OS? Thanks for all help in advance. Scott
October 23, 20223 yr Community Expert Solution Copy key from old flash to new and you can transfer from webUI https://wiki.unraid.net/Manual/Changing_The_Flash_Device
October 23, 20223 yr Author I just plugged my old Unraid flash drive into my laptop and copied the pluskey.KEY file over to my new Unraid 6.11.1 flash drive hoping it would just register as my plus key and override the trial. This did not work unfortunately. Back to the drawing board.
