User/Password requested at first access of unRaid 4.7 server [SOLVED]

Featured Replies

Hello,

Unlike of anything I found in any tutorial for unRaid I get prompted for User/Password at first access to tower (screenshot attached)...

The default root/blanc is not working..

According to the guides I checked the creation of additional users is done only through the web interface, therefore as a noob that I am in Linux world I am lost.

Please advice.

Seba

That's your ROUTER asking for credentials, unless you managed to find a way to run unRAID on your Linksys WRT54G!

Thank you for the idea, seems to be right, although I don't know what to do about it...

Why would the router ask for credentials for accessing a different machine in the network?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but for 2 machines in the same lan it should be more or less like a blind HUB...

It seems there was an older router on the network with a static IP.

Thanks for pointing me to the obvious! :'(
