Asynchronous Transfer Speeds

Featured Replies

I have a 2.5Gbe NIC on my UnRaid machine, a 2.5Gbe Switch and a 2.5Gbe LAN port on my desktop.

Transferring from desktop to server is ~280MB/s (confirmed with iperf @ 2.37 Gb/s)

Transferring from server to desktop is gimped at about ~110MB/s (confirmed with iperf @ ~1gb/s)

As i was investigating this i decided to update from 6.9.2 to 6.11.1 and have now gone from around ~110MB/s to ~180MB/s (iperf @ 1.6Gb/s)

I'm happy for the improvement but why is it asynchronous in speed?
