2 UnRaid 5 Servers on same network

Featured Replies

I have 2 UnRaid 5.0b6 servers on my network.  My problem is if server A is mounted, and I click on server B in the finder list, I see the contents from Server A.  The only way I can see the contents on server B is to unmount server A from Finder then Mount Server B.

I must be missing something really simple here  ???

Do the servers have different names?

...

Probably a DNS conflict of "Tower", change the netbios name of Server B to Tower2

Sorry, I should have mentioned that they both have different names/ip addresses.  One is Kirk (10.0.1.66) and the other Spock (10.0.1.67).

So it's slightly more complicated then that  ;D

Still having the same issue.  I'm using Samba to connect to one of the servers, and afp for the other.  With Lion due to be released this month, I will not be able to use Samba so I'm really hoping to get this taken care of.

The only think I can think of causing the issue, is that even though the servers have different names, somewhere there is a setting that is the same on both servers that causes OSX to think they are the same server.

Any ideas?

Lion will include support for Windows networking. There should be no change in the way Lion interacts with unRAID. Support for NT domains will likely be dropped as it was from Windows 7. Lion will not use SAMBA code but it will use an Apple developed implementation.

I am playing with the GM of Lion on one of my systems, but I cannot connect to the SMB unraid shares, just the AFP.  They show under finder, but will not connect.

I'm still having the issue.  Now, it seems that I only have the problem if I'm running the same version on both servers.  However if I run beta11 on one server and beta9 on the other, everything works the way it should.  I'm wondering if it could have to do with the change in netatalk versions?

It sounds like you need to have Scotty (10.0.1.69) take a look at it.

It could be a malfunction in the WARP drive.

I'm sorry, that was totally useless spam answer.. but it is late and it made me laugh..

lol...

The scary part is I do have .68 reserved for sulu and .69 for scotty..  ;)

I have 2 beta10 servers running without a problem.

Are you using AFP and running Lion?
