June 28, 201115 yr Hello There, I have just added a new drive that I want to use for a Time Machine share only. The Time Machine share currently exists on disk A and I want to move it to disk B. I want disk B to be only Time Machine share and nothing else. I want Time Machine share to be only this disk. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated on the best way to: a) migrate the share to disk B b) restrict disk B to only accept data from the Time Machine share c) restrict the Time Machine share to only add data on disk B I feel certain this info is available somewhere in the wiki, but I am not having any luck finding it. Links to the correct wiki articles would also be much appreciated. TIA, erik
June 28, 201115 yr You basically open disk A and disk B in the Apple equivalent of Windows Explorer and copy the whole time Machine share from disk A to disk B. Then, using the unRAID interface, set the Time Machine share to only use disk B (set include to disk5 or whatever disk number it is). Peter
June 28, 201115 yr Author Thanks Peter. One question though, will setting up only the include disk setting on the Time Machine share also preclude other shares from writing to this disk? If not, how can I accomplish that? Do I have to go into every other share and exclude the Time machine disk, or is there some other way to accomplish this on a global level? erik
