October 31, 20223 yr Recently, my logs have been filling up with smdb_audit errors (I attached my diagnostics) and my log file is filling up. It seems to be related to Apple Time Machine. If i disable export on a share set to time machine (hidden, if that matters), the logs stops filling up. Any idea why its doing this? I've disabled those shares for now but would ideally have them back up. Thank you! toblerone-diagnostics-20221030-1227.zip
October 31, 20223 yr Community Expert Excessive SMB logging seems to be occurring if you have the recycle bin plugin installed. I would suggest removing it and rebooting to ensure it fixes your problem, and if that proves to the be the case then you can try installing the latest version which I think has a fix for this issue.
October 31, 20223 yr Author Thank you for the reply. It looks like I have 10.26a installed, and I'm not sure if it was updated since I turned off the shares. Would excluding the time machine shares from the recycling bin plugin also work?
