November 1, 20223 yr Hi all Now lets get past the "wifi is bad" "wifi is unstable" "wifi is unsecure" we are not in 2015, I have a WIfi 6 mesh covering my entire house, all of my house hardware except my unraid server connects via wifi, I have never had it drop or become more unstable than a wired setup in my old house. I access my plex, transfer files and do that all via wifi. My router is downstairs next to the unraid but I want to move it to the opposite side of the house upstairs into my gaming room for the winter, cables would be impractical and I don't want to use over power network as I've had issues in the past and it is an extra cost. What I am asking is simply is it possible and can Unraid support it ?
November 1, 20223 yr Community Expert Unraid does not include any WiFi drivers. The only way to use WiFi is to use an adapter that appears to Unraid as if it is a standard Ethernet device and which handles the Wifi part completely within the adapter.
