Disk disabled, errors found. Not exactly sure what to do next.

Featured Replies

Hi all, I had a disk get disabled by UnRAID right around the time that my monthly parity check started. Right now, it shows 2050 errors and is still disabled. I've attached the SMART short self-test diagnostics (which passed). I am running the extended self-test now and will post those results when it has finished running.

The parity check shows that the "Read-Check" is currently paused.

Please attach your diagnostics to your next post once the Extended SMART test finishes (it will include the test results, no need to add it separately).

It's not logged as a disk problem but let the SMART test finish.

@JorgeB @ChatNoir the extended SMART test has finished and I've attached the diagnostics in this message. The "Last SMART test result" does show a green status message stating "Completed without error".

Thank you both again for the preemptive help. The red-dot notification is stressful 😅

Thanks @JorgeB for the help. Since the test passed and the emulated disk is mounting, I have UnRAID rebuilding the disk now.
