Issues with 6TB Sata Drive

Featured Replies

Hey guys, recently got a Dell Powedege T440 and just loaded UNRAID onto it with 2 Drives:

1 Dell EMC 2TB SAS Drive and 1 6TB WD Blue SATA Drive.

The 2TB drive is mounting with no issues however the 6TB drive is being prompted as unsupported partition layout.

After troubleshooting myself and trying to download Unassigned Devices, I'm still having no luck as when I format the drive, I am being prompted with a successful prompt but the drive still says it needs to be formatted rather than mounted.

The drives are on 2 different RAID 0 configurations as I followed another thread to see how to set up drives on a DELL Server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To add some more context onto this. When trying to format the drive to NTFS via UD, it works with no issues.

The problems I'm having are when trying to format it to XFS or BTRFS.

It's a bug with the latest release, for now suggest downgrading to v6.11.1 to format the disks, you can then upgrade back if you want.
